About This Clinic

Dr. Nadar Kavian was born and raised in Shiraz Iran.

He studied Medicine at Shiraz university, and after graduating as a medical doctor he completed his residency in ophthalmology as a retinal specialist. After graduating in 2001, he practiced in a variety of settings including: university clinics, hospitals, and as an adjunct professor for the faculty of medicine at the University of Shiraz Azad. After leaving Iran in 2015 he came to Canada to pursue a career in Optometry, and completed his education at Waterloo University. Dr. Nadar believes his many years of experience in various medical and academic practices will be a real asset to the Asgarpour Optometry team. He strives to ensure every patient is given the time and attention to detail needed in order to address the unique ocular needs each patient has.

Dr. Kevin Badyal is a dedicated optometrist who was born and raised in Surrey, British Columbia, and brings a strong local connection to this practice. He completed his undergraduate studies at Simon Fraser University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, building a solid foundation in vision science and human health. Dr. Badyal went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2015. Dr. Badyal is known for his patient focused approach and takes the time to educate patients about their eye health, empowering them to make informed decisions about their vision care. His dedication to excellence, attention to detail, and compassionate manner help ensure that every patient receives the highest standard of comprehensive and personalized eye care.​​​​​​
