Community Outreach: Celebrating World Sight Day in Vancouver

To celebrate World Sight Day, Asgarpour Optometry partnered with Change the View. Over the course of four days, our team volunteered their time at City Reach, taking prescriptions, fitting frames, and distributing sunglasses. Altogether, we were able to provide 129 people with prescription eyeglasses, 79 people with reading glasses, and 300 pairs of sunglasses. In addition, Asgarpour Optometry provided over 200 individuals with important eye health education, helping to raise awareness about the importance of vision care.

One mother shared her thanks and what the new glasses would mean to her son, “Thank you so much. Vincent is seeing way better now. Hopefully he has an easier time learning now!”

Hearing such things is a powerful reminder of the real impact that access to eye care can have on a child’s confidence, learning, and quality of life.
